Are You In A Dangerous Relationship?

This little post is about Nurses and Relationships/Romance. A simple piece of advice to someone who is in a wrong place right now but hasn't the strength to unbolt and walk away free.

To be in a wrong relationship is the worst form of stress. Its worse than having a 0ne month marathon night shifts(if that were even possible)

It creates a mental, emotional and psychological torture that can only be related by the one involved.

A bad relationship drains you completely and makes anxiety your second nature.

If you find out that a relationship isn't working,do yourself a favor and take a walk.Save yourself an imminent heartbreak and depression.

Before We Got Married ( Relationship Life Story by a Nurse)

The challenges of a male nurse who married a colleague doctor

It was almost in the last part of my internship at one of the State University's Teaching hospitals, during the Christmas period of 2012.

we were all getting ready with selection and arranging of all our documents from the various departments that we were posted.

Gathering our attendance sheets and log books for signing and arranging our reports was the major work for that day. Every one of us was excited to finally be out of this place and back to school again, though we were to have our final exams in less than a months’ time.

I Was Dumped After Buying My Wedding Dress

It’s September. That time of year when the air is cool enough to let you enjoy the sun beating down as you sit on a terrace sipping a glass of sangria.

I’m laughing with my best friend about her disastrous dates.

7 Questions To Ask Before You Marry Them

Marriage isn’t a walk in the park and it isn’t a drama. Marriage is a serious business and only serious minds can enter and succeed. Seriousness of marriage demands that you make serious soul searching and ask serious questions and be very sincere with the answers.

Marriage can make or mar a life and nothing is as devastating as a wrong choice.

So what are the important questions you may need to ask before you say ‘I DO”?

Whether because of shyness, lack of interest or a desire to preserve romantic mystery, many couples do not ask each other the difficult questions that can help build the foundation for a stable marriage, according to relationship experts.

In addition to wanting someone with whom they can raise children and build a secure life, those considering marriage now expect their spouses to be both best friend and confidant. These romantic-comedy expectations, in part thanks to Hollywood, can be difficult to live up to.

Below are some key points I want to share with you on this issue. Please feel very free to say your opinion in the comment box below, let’s discuss this and stay happy in our relationships. If you are ready, let's roll......

When You Marry Your Friend

The Word Bank weds....December 4 and 5 2015. Take note..

The anticipation is palpable.

Do you know him? You need to find out who he is and I'm sure you'd be glad.

What really is marriage if not a bolder and deeper level of friendship where none is scared anymore to bare it all and be oneself with absolute peace? All fear is gone and each one is freely relinquishing self-good,bad,ugly,smart,dull,weaknesses and strengths into the hands of the other person, without any fear or restraint?

It is a lifelong estate where both agree to truly "become naked" without being ashamed because the two have become one.

What is the meaning of marriage if the people involved aren't best of friends of each other? To me it is a glorious elevation of the friendship to a more sublime ,beautiful, splendid, and holy platform, from where

Baby,It's Not What You Think

Why do men always use this line each time they are caught  redhanded? Why does love, well cherished love ,sometimes get rocked so deep that the vibrations threaten to,and sometimes splinter the foundation to pieces and smash sweethearts against the wall?
Who really are the "devils" that "force" people to cheat on someone who loves them so dearly? I hate it each time I hear those lines from someone, but then it continues to happen.
It's another weekend.
Welcome on board, let's roll together .....

I Don't Really Want Children

Here is beautiful Yagazie Emezi talking about a rather controversial issue: deliberatley deciding not to have kids.Reasons are not due to health,or any of such things but purely a personal conclusion,as one loves to live her life.

I'm also aware that some men have this view too about having kids. There have been some people who married and also agreed that they don’t want kids.

What's your take on this issue?

Leave your comments below lets get talking.

When I Looked At Her

I had just dropped my pen after my quiet time and stepped out to get me a sachet of cowbel and Ovaltine from the "aboki" who doubles as the gatekeeper of the estate.
As I pulled back the gate my eyes beheld her briskly walking up to my direction, and obviously she was also going to get some stuff from our gatekeeper or the next one.

My heart thumped.Once.Twice.Thrice!I felt it.I tried to swiftly shift my gaze but,Biola was an irresistible beauty. One can't ignore in a hurry. At 24 she was vividly a full grown woman and her beauty was entrancing.I stood there, and for the first time I really appreciated fully what a stunning beauty she was.I almost literally hung on the gate gazing as she continued advancing;I almost forgot what I had come out to do until she came close and waved."hi" ,I had also replied.

I Want a Baby Mama Not a Wife

It was 27th December, just two days after Christmas 2013; I saw him sobbing like one who just lost a child. I had  asked what happened several times but each time he raised his teary eyes, now red and almost swollen, he’d feel like talking but soon buries his face in his palms and continued to sob.”Somto what happened to you please?’ came the query again. “Talk to me or I would leave until you are done crying?” What really happened to my handsome guy?

Somto was not expecting anything unusual or weird from such a lady and more so, not from the circle as sacred as a church. The car pulled up and the horn blared sharply, very characteristic of Chinenye each time she arrives and parks in the garage. Graceful and elegant as ever she stepped out, and dutifully reached for a beautifully packaged basket of provisions-a welcome present this Christmas period. Who wouldn’t want that? Chinenye had earlier in the month got 3 packet shirts also as Christmas gift.

Somto had more than he needed at this time. Who doesn’t like gifts? I love it too.

But December 27, was a day he wished he never even knew anyone like that rich lady that always brought them things at the parish. What happened?

Why Women Stay In Abusive Relationships

There are many reasons why women stay in abusive relationships. Many stay out of fear. Either they have been threatened that bad things will happen to them, or their family members if they try and leave the abusive situation.

Lack of money can be another reason, and not having anyone to turn to for help. Like men - women are proud creatures and often don't want others knowing how bad her situation really is in shame that she will be looked down upon and knowing that someone will say "why don't you just leave."

These are dreaded words to hear and can cause even more stress to the recipient of abuse who wants to get out of their situation but feel powerless and afraid, not knowing how to take a step towards freedom from the abuse they are forced to endure. There are many forms of abuse a woman can suffer, and sadly far too many women in today's society are being murdered by their partners or husbands.

6 Hurtful Relationship Beliefs By Christians

Are you looking for Christian relationship help? Regardless of the problems you are dealing with, it is important that you identify and change these six toxic Christian relationship beliefs in order to make healthy choices.

1. You believe it is selfish to put yourself before others.
Christians mistakenly believe that they have to put others before themselves. This results in giving too much, burn-out, resentment, and being taken advantage of. It is not only not selfish but absolutely necessary that you take care of yourself. The Apostle Paul assumed self-care was normal and right when he admonished husbands to care for their wives, as their own bodies (Ephesians 5:29). There needs to be a balance between taking care of ourselves and giving to others.

Real Men Love And Protect Women

Kate and Jide have been married for over six years now. It has been one filled with joys and pains, expectations, anxiety, and yes, sometimes silent anger at everybody; even at God who has kept them without a child until now despite their faithfulness to his course.

Soon after their wedding Kate developed a strange abdominal pain that was intermittent. It kept them worrying what could happen next.

The first hospital they visited surely made a wrong diagnosis and this accounted for Kate not getting the right treatment on time. It was about the third hospital which finally told Jide that the wife had Leiomyomas commonly known as fibroids and would need to have a surgery done before she could be able to conceive.

Sex: Is The Wait Really Worth It?

When the topic of sexual purity or virginity is raised,as I see on many online forums, the kind of responses I read and the reactions of certain people get me wondering aloud, and even quizzing myself again. But,my questions are not about the decisions I've made for purity which can't yet be reversed by anything or anyone, by His grace(though tripped up,somehow several times),I question the motive behind my long years of abstinence and the struggle many like-minded persons are going through in a world that highly glamorizes sexual freedom and relativism but still humiliates its own when they wish to indulge themselves.Talk about "you are free to do it but don't get caught".

This Is What It Should Be

This is Josh and Bre Curtas, a devout Christian couple, minutes before their wedding ceremony, now living in Virginia. Josh wanted to be sure they started their marriage off right, so without seeing the bride before the ceremony, they sat around the corner from one another, held hands and prayed.

Photographer Kimberly Burke snapped this photo of Bre and Josh holding hands and praying before their wedding in August 2012. Burke told HuffPost Weddings that the photo went viral back in January when Bre wrote a blog post about it.

Does Facebook Really Break Up Homes Or Relationships?

Both online and offline it has been reported by thousands that facebook is a monster that has come to tear their home apart and cause broken hearts. Many women complain of their husbands getting hooked up online in some kind of relationship that has been difficult to explain. Men also complain that their wives have been taken away (emotionally) from them because of certain online interactions. In all these, the blame usually is placed at the steps of the social site-facebook,Twitter,Myspace,Youtube,Watsapp and the rest.

Define Your Expectations For Better Relationships

Written by Dan Langerock
You can also write a bunch of questions before you find someone and keep them in a
notebook. Pray about what you write, then let God find you the right person. This has happened in my life with two marriages.

I knew within a week of meeting each person if they were the right ones to marry because I was listening to God and using His wisdom. The first wife I met in college and we were married 33 years. She died in 2008, and I remarried and moved to another state. We have been married almost 3 years now.

Once you get your list of questions and you have prayed about this subject, keep what you have written in mind. It

Does Sexual Purity Still Matter? (2)

Wherever we go, whatever we do, and how we do it all reflects on God. He lives in us and we are his. Suddenly the dividing walls we use to so neatly divide our lives into sacred and secular are gone. Just like us, the Corinthains tried to segment their lives into church/spiritual stuff and regular/fun stuff. Paul says, if we're Christians, it's all God's stuff! We can't do anything in our bodies and not take along our worship and reverence of God. This is one of the problems of Christians today:They do not want to drag God into their regular everyday life.

My dilemma-Andrew Needs Your Help

My name is Andrew. I’m not a good story teller but I’ll try to let you know what I have been carrying in my mind for so long and would like to know whatever help you can
give me. I want to put across my mind the way I can and need your candid advice. You are very free to condemn my action but all I need now is what I should do to get my life in place once again. I’M REALLY dieing.

Two years into my stay in the university I joined a group I thought was just another students’ club as I was told. Back in the village I wasn’t particularly a quiet person but I refrained from certain things like smoking and drinking .I also had no exclusive relationship with any female(girlfriend).

In fact I was a virgin before I entered the university despite

Ladies: Do You Still Make These Deadly Mistakes?

Today I will like to talk about some very deadly mistakes that some women make which has kept them in a very pitiable condition.

These mistakes have caused many of them their lives and in event where life is not lost, the heart is often seriously broken.

And when a woman’s heart is broken, it reverberates and even though she is quiet and simmering inside, she can pour it out on a future partner in marriage even after many year.(that is those who make these mistakes and still lucky enough to marry-if marriage was on their mind).
